The challenge

Betevé designed a new version of its app. With it, its users have access to the portal’s content from mobile devices or tablets, taking advantage of the benefits of mobile applications.

Objectives

Betevé’s objective is to have a mobile application that reflects its news and content portal, as well as to benefit from the advanced functionalities that mobile applications can offer compared to webs or webapps.

Furthermore, with the inclusion of elements such as push notifications, the aim is to increase user retention, so that users do not abandon the use of the application and stay connected with what is happening in Barcelona.

The intention is to use optimal technology, both for development and maintenance, without discriminating against the option of working with hybrid technologies.

Results provided

The application has increased user retention through push notifications and user identification, which allows saving user preferences.

Technologically, it has been realised in Compose Multiplatform, with a common code for the logic and for the user interfaces. These factors mean that development and maintenance costs can be optimised to the maximum.
